How To Find Screen Resolution.
IMPORTANT! Please check the screen resolution before you buy! Screen resolution may be different for the same laptop model. Make sure that the screen you are buying is the right resolution.

If your screen resolution is 1024 x 768, it means that the screen has 1024 pixels horizontally and 768 vertically.
A few ways to find out the screen resolution:
- Refer to your notebook manual. It should be, as a rule, in the specifications section.
- If the manual is not available, take a look at the manufacturer's website and search for the laptop specifications in the support section by using the serial number and model of the laptop.
- If your computer is running, you can check your resolution online. Please note that this site shows the correct resolution only if you do not change the factory settings of the screen in Windows or Mac OS. On-line Resolution Check.
- And finally, the most reliable way to make sure what screen is for you is by the model number of the old screen, which is written on it's back. You can do a search on the model of the screen on Screencountry.com to find out the actual specs for size and resolution.

Each standard resolution has a designation, the following is a list of some used in laptops:
XGA 1024x768
SXGA 1280x1024
SXGA + 1400x1050
UXGA 1600x1200
QXGA 2048x1536
WXGA 1280x720; 1280x768; 1280x800; 1360x768; 1366x768
WXGA + 1440x900
WSXGA + 1680x1050, 1680x945
WUXGA 1920x1200, 1920x1080
"W" - means wide-screen aspect ratio of 16:10 or 16:9.
3. Backlight. What type of lighting is used in the screen in your laptop?
WARNING! There are two different types of backlight: CCFL (discharge lamps) and LED (Light Emitting Diods).
We would like to remind you that these two types of light are incompatible.
CCFL backlit screen may have one or two lamps.
CCFL 1 lamp has only one connector for the inverter. This type of lighting is most common in older laptops (up to 2010). See the figure below:
