I have a 13 inch Macbook that I bought in July 2007. The screen cracked earlier this week and I took it to an Apple Store where I was told it would be $800 to replace. I was doing some research and I found your website and I'm struck that you are offering Macbook LCD screens at such a low cost. Right now I'm just looking for information so I can make an intelligent decision - I don't want to pay Apple $800 to fix the screen.
How come you are able to offer such a reduced price? Is it possible that you will not have a screen model that is compatible with my Macbook? What are the risks of buying a screen from a place like yours as opposed to getting one directly from Apple?
This is a bit of a time sensitive matter because I need to get my computer back quickly in order to complete my school work. If you can get back to me as soon as possible I would appreciate it!

First of all you need to know:
The screens we are selling are absolutely the same screen as the ones used to install during production run by laptop manufacturers. LCD laptop screen is not a piece of cake to make and there aren't any types of generic or fake screens available on the market. They simply don't exist.

Let's move forward: Why do laptop manufacturers charge so much?
Technical information about laptop screens compatibility is not publicly available at all. It is very difficult to determine which screen models is compatible with any given laptop. Only laptop manufacturers know and try to protect this information as hard as they can. In this situation you can charge as much as you want because nobody else knows what exactly you are selling, therefore nobody can compete with you.
Besides, a couple of years ago LCD screens were indeed quite expensive due to high production costs.
Two years ago $800 price tag for a MacBook screen sounded a bit pricey, but still OK, at that time we used to sell same screen models for around $600 including installation.
Today, things have changed: production costs for LCD screens have dropped down significantly, some compatibility information has been collected and put together by third-party companies. All this resulted in the availability of laptop screens from sources other than laptop manufacturers. At the same time, laptop manufacturers still want their high profits and keep their prices at same levels.

Why are our prices better than competitor's?
Today, there are quite a few third-party companies on the market, that are selling laptop screens, including us. All these companies offer more or less same prices. But our prices are still the lowest, with the same or higher service quality! Here is what we do to keep our prices the lowest on the market:
- Ordering, processing, payment and customer support is done by internet means only. It results in fewer employees involved in the process and fewer human factor errors.
- We use cost effective packaging, which at the same times gives incredible 0.03% damage rate (3 parcels out of 10000 shipped!).
- We are always searching for better suppliers. We always will. Currently we are buying directly from manufacturers.

I received my new screen the other day and next day I installed it in the laptop. It took a couple of days extra to get it because of adverse weather conditions, but it was worth the wait! The screen is of excellent quality and came packed really good to prevent any damage in shipping. I am really pleased with the quality of the display, probably better than the original. The colors are quite crisp and clear. I'm glad I downloaded the manual for my laptop to get detailed instructions on how to replace the screen. It took 3 or 4 hours to complete but the results were worth it! If I ever need another screen, I'll be ordering it from you guys! Thanks for everything, and especially the good price!

My screen arrived in 3 days as promised, packed very tight. I was so excited to receive it, I removed the old screen, re-installed the old screen. I WAS READY TO CALL FOWL. I got Your reply and so I went to the computer shop to pick up the screen and My laptop, then I started thinking of Your reply, You see I have experience fixing pc's changing screens, soldering dc power ports etc. The only reason I took it to a shop is so that if any problems I would have proper paperwork but I figured that I still have My skills I just don't do it for a living anymore, so I took it apart Myself and installed the screen and it works perfectly needless to say I got My money back from the shop.
